The paint code on your door frame tells us what the car left the factory wearing, not what it is wearing now. Five Canadian winters and a few thousand hours of sun move a colour, and matching to the code alone is why a repaired panel can sit slightly brighter than the two beside it. We read the actual panel and blend outward until the join has nowhere to show itself.
